Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using the Friendly Wedding service operated by Tanvrit Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us", "Tanvrit"), you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy at https://friendly.wedding/privacy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit, for keeping your authentication credentials secret, and for all activity under your account. Notify dpo@tanvrit.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Acceptable use
You will not (a) use the service to harass, defame, or impersonate any person; (b) upload content that infringes intellectual property, contains malware, or violates Indian law; (c) attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or circumvent rate limits or authentication; (d) resell, sub-licence, or operate a competing service using Tanvrit data; (e) upload guest contact details without the underlying consent required by DPDPA. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this clause.
4. Subscriptions and payments
Friendly Wedding offers a free tier and paid tiers for advanced features. Paid tiers are processed through Stripe Inc. (international cards) or Razorpay (UPI and domestic cards). We never store full card numbers. Recurring payments above ₹15,000 require Additional Factor of Authentication and a 24-hour pre-debit notification under the Reserve Bank of India E-Mandate Framework effective 21 April 2026; you authorise such notifications by enabling auto-renewal.
5. Intellectual property
All Tanvrit-created software, design, branding, and content remain the property of Tanvrit Pvt. Ltd. The content you upload (guest lists, event plans, photos) remains yours; you grant Tanvrit a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display it for the purpose of providing the service to you and your invited guests.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Indian law, Tanvrit's aggregate liability arising from or related to your use of the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Tanvrit against claims arising from (a) content you upload, (b) your violation of these terms, or (c) your violation of applicable law.
8. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time via https://friendly.wedding/account/delete. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, with reasonable notice except where immediate action is required to protect users or comply with law. Upon termination, your data is retained or purged per the retention schedule in the Privacy Policy.
9. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Patna, Bihar have exclusive jurisdiction. Disputes will first be referred to mediation; failing settlement within 30 days, disputes will be referred to arbitration under the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, by a sole arbitrator at Patna, conducted in English.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the updated version takes effect 30 days after publication unless it merely clarifies existing obligations or is required by law. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
