How do we keep track of who is doing what?

Everyone joins as a role rather than as a name on a list: student coordinator, faculty coordinator, judge, volunteer. People & roles shows the whole committee in one screen, grouped by what they are there to do, and a role can be changed or removed as the fest reshuffles.

Can participants sign up per competition?

Every item on the schedule is its own event with its own list, so a student can enter the hackathon and skip the cultural night, and each event's coordinator sees only their own numbers.
